journey to the north Day-2 Part-5 Nalankha falls Sidone

dear all
we got to the NaLanKha falls near Sidone

P1160524

the Nalankha falls

Kha means river in Shan
this area must have been inhabited by the Shans
before it became a Kachin area

P1160525

first view

there is a stream down below

it is very beautiful

when I looked down, I saw a Chaung with rapids (Shins) and it did not look like any waterfall
I was disappointed although the rapids were beautiful because it is not a waterfall
it was only later, when I went further down that I noticed the waterfall on the opposite side

P1160526

bridge over troubled waters

there is a bridge over the Nalankha

over which we must pass to reach the falls

P1160527

rapids / shinns

they are very beautiful

but they are not waterfall

and I was a little disappointed

P1160528

first glimpse of the falls

P1160529

seen more clearly as I go down the sides

the falls are better seen and I realize…..

what a wonder it is

how wrong I was just now

I came to realize the beauty of the falls

P1160530

P was first on the bridge

as usual, I was taking photos and was left behind when others go on to look at the wonder

P1160531

P was very happy

it showed on her face

the trip is worth taking

the Nalankha falls is very very beautiful

I did not know about its existence

it was ako who heard about it from the hospital staff

and he planned the Myitkyina based tours

he decided that it would not be worth going to the LaiZar or the LweJe border trade areas

he has been to ShweLi while attending the ZeeBinGyee course

and knows that these border trade areas would not be as developed as ShweLi
